Plaits are always a romantic, sweet style and work especially well with spring and summer weddings. This braided bun updo wedding hair tutorial would be ideal for bridesmaids and flower girls with medium to long hair.
1. Separate hair into two sections, with the split where you would like your bun to be.
2. Begin to french plait the hair at your hair line and back towards to centre of your head, ensuring that you pull the hair tight if you want a smooth look, and a little looser if you want a more casual plait. secure with a ponytail
3. Repeat the plait working from the back hairline up to meet the other plait, and secure with a ponytail.
4. Secure one ponytail around the two plaits, turning the loose parts into one smooth ponytail.
5. Using a second hair tie, loop the hair through the band but only pulling the ponytail partially through. Tuck any remaining hair into the loop that’s been created.
6. Pull the hair down at each side until the looped part resembles the bun shown and secure in place with pins.
7. You can add jewels, accessories or flowers to tie the look into your theme.
